COL. P. L. HALL
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born at Mead, Neb., March 28, 1888. Son of P.
L. and Helena B. Hall. Entered Nebraska Hospital Corps April 3, 1905.
Discharged 1908 at end of enlistment. Re-enlisted April 3, 1908.
Commissioned Lieutenant, June, 1910, and Captain Oct., 1910. Adjutant
General of Nebraska, 1917. Mobilized 4th Nebraska Infantry, guard duty
in state, in compliance with request of War Department. Mobilized 4th,
5th and 6th Infantry, Signal Corps and Field Hospital for war service.
Resigned as Adjutant General, June 25, 1917. Appointed Colonel 6th
Nebraska Infantry. Assigned to 127th Field Artillery commanding. Camp
Cody, N. M., Jan. 16, 1918. Transferred to Artillery Firing Center at
Ft. Sill and Camp Doniphan, Oklahoma, April 22, 1918. Transferred to
National Army and ordered to Camp Funston, Kan. commanded 164th D. B.
Brigade, Detention camp and Training Center. In charge of 2nd Army
Liberty Loan, 1918. Raised $2,500,000.00. Highest record of all U. S.
Camps. Discharged from active service January 9, 1919. Assigned to
Reserve Corps.

COLONEL
RICHARD BOLLES PADDOCK
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born at Ft. McKinley, Wyo. Son of Captain
Bolles Paddock and Grace Pershing Paddock. Graduated West Point, June,
1914. C. A. C. On Mexican border with Signal Corps. Went to France
with First Expeditionary Forces in May, 1917. Served on several
fronts. Gassed once. Wounded once. Given French War Cross. Returned to
U. S. A., Oct., 1918. Student at University of Nebraska.

LIEUT.
COL. P. JAMES COSGRAVE
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born at Wilkes-Barre, Pa., June 28, 1871.
Lawyer, L. L. B. '91; L. L. M. '92, Michigan. Was a Captain in the 1st
Neb. U. S. volunteers in '98. Served as Police Judge of the City of
Lincoln for three terms. Served two terms as County Judge of this
County. Was serving his second term as District Judge of the Third
Judicial District when the U. S. entered the war. He resigned to
accept an appointment as Major in the Judge Advocate Department of the
Army.
On Jan. 4, 1918, was assigned to Camp Logan, Tex., as Judge of
the 5th Regular Division. Sailed with his Division in April for
France. On October 22, he was commissioned Lieutenant-Colonel and
reassigned to the same Division.
He is now with the Army of
Occupation.

LIEUT.
COL H. WINNETT ORR
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born at West Newton, PA, March 17, 1877.
Son of Dr. and Mrs. A. W. Orr, later, of Lincoln, Neb. Entered service
May 17, 1917. Arrived at London, May 30, 1917. On duty with the
British until August 1, 1918. Base Hospital No. 9, Chatcanroux,
France, August, 1918. Consultant in Orthopedic Surgery and Director of
Orthopedic services in Base Section No. 1 (including Savenay, St
Nazaire, Nantes, Angers) until Feb. 15, 1919. Discharged June 1, 1919

MAJOR
P. H. BARTHOLOMEW
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born at Sagertown, Pa., April 2, 1879. Son
of Amos and Rachael Bartholomew. Entered service June, 1916. Medical
Corps. Field Hospital 136, 109th Sanitary Train. On Mexican Border in
1916. American Expeditionary Forces in France.
MAJOR
ALLEN PARKER COWGILL
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born at Paducah, Ky., July 17, 1890. Son of Dr.
Warwick M. and Alice B. Cowgill. Entered service June 12, 1910.
Engineer Corps. Graduated West Point, 1914. Engineer's School, 1916.
Built Military road Leon Springs, Texas. Military Railroad Camp A. A.
Humphrey. Now stationed at West Point as Instructor.

MAJOR
CHAS. M. WILLIAMSON
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born at Washington, Kan., June 7, 1888. Son of
Chas. and Minnie Williamson. Entered service August 28, 1918.
Assistant Adjutant 10th Division.

MAJOR
JOHN M. MAYHEW
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born Cincinnati, Ohio, June 13, 1870. Son
of Alice and P. H. Mayhew. Entered the service July 10, 1918. Chief of
Medical. Service, Base Hospital, Camp Travis, Texas.

MAJOR
JOHN F. SPEALMAN
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA . Born at Marshall County, Kan., Dec. 31,
1876. Son of Mr. John R. and Mrs. Sarah Spealman. Entered service
January 24, 1903. Medical Corps. First entered the service in Nebraska
Field Hospital No. 1, January, 1903. Commissioned 1st Lieut., May,
1905. Commissioned Captain, Feb. 2, 1909. Commissioned Major, Jan. 23,
1913. Served on Mexican Border in 1916. Went to France in November
1917, in command of 166th Field Hospital. Was later made Director of
Field Hospitals of the Rainbow Division. In continuous service since
1903.

MAJOR
MONTIE E. LUM
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Entered the service, 1902. In command of
Co. A, 5th Nebraska Infantry on border in 1916. Arrived overseas with
134th Infantry Oct. 25, 1918. Stationed near Le Mans, France. Promoted
to Major May 19, 1919.

MAJOR
O. OLSON
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born at Gardner, Ill., June 11, 1877. Wife, Anna E.
Entered service August 1917. Medical Corps. Received training at Ft
Riley, Kan. Sent to Camp Logan. Surgeon on 108th Ammunition Train.
Went overseas May 1918 In action at St. Mihiel, Argonne Forest and
Meuse River, with 58th Artillery.

LIEUT.
COM. WILL R. LEAHY
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born at Lincoln, Neb., August 10, 1892. Son
of William and Ella Leahy. Entered service Feb. 1917. Medical Officer,
U. S. S. Jupiter, Norfolk, Va.

MAJOR
LAZELLE B. STURDEVANT
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA. Born at Wahoo, Neb., June 4, 1879. Son of
Mr. Brantley E. and Mrs. Helen O. Sturdevant. Entered service in 1913.
Medical Corps. Commissioned 1st Lieutenant Nebraska National Guard,
Jan. 12, 1913. Nebraska Field Hospital No. 1. Promoted to Captain, May
1916. Served on Mexican border. Promoted to Major, May 1917. Assigned
to 5th Nebraska National Guard. Went to Camp Cody in August 1917,
where he was Division Sanitary Inspector until the arrival of his
Regiment. Transferred to Base Hospital, Camp Cody, in December 1917.
Transferred to Camp Cody Development Battalion in September 1918,
where he was at the time the Armistice was signed.
