The Women's Club of Lincoln, Nebraska, was organized November 17, 1894, with 251 enthusiastic charter members; closed its first year with 310 members; the second year with 328; the third year with 293 and enthusiasm increased. The fourth year starts with 438 members, foundations strengthened and work enlarged.

It is an inclusive and departmental club. Since its object is to help and be helped, the following women are invited to become members:

The University graduate

The woman of common school education

The self-educated woman

The woman who belongs to other clubs

The non-club woman

The woman who does not believe in clubs

The woman who does not wish to join a department		  

The woman who wants to attend the club meetings but twice a year.

The woman who wants to be a member for the name of it.

The tired woman, full of domestic responsibilities, who wants to be a sponge, fold her hands, who needs an audience, has learned, and then go home refreshed to her treadmill.

The woman without companionship

The young woman and the young-old woman.
